Jurying process now open
It has taken longer than expected to sort out a process for Company members to submit their work for judging. Thankfully, we now have a process for the members to use.
Initially, we based the Jurying process on that used by the Lochac Guild of Broiderers. We found it difficult to use and awkward to score against Woodwright Company rankings. We have shifted to the Kingdom A&S competition process, with weightings of the detail scores to suit the Company needs.
Jurying is described on the Website page https://woodworkers.lochac.sca.org/woodwrights-guild-jurying/.
The process for preparing, submitting and evaluating entries is detailed at https://woodworkers.lochac.sca.org/preparing-and-submitting-a-jury-entry/
I invite members to document and submit their work in line with the above process. I expect that a thorough round of jurying will reveal improvements that can be made for the second round.
In conjugation with the opening of jurying, Company members are invited to bring their entries for evaluation at the “Fields of Gold IX” event on November 29th to December 1st at the Bungendore Showground and camping/caravanning park
